MCBA Nationals Carpooling

Well its about that time to figure out who all is going and how they are getting there.
I am unsure if I will be able to make nationals, but if I can I will have an SUV.

So if you need a ride, post

Lets figure out what everyones plans are!

I'm going, I'll have 1 animal, no carrier for multiples of animals though so if I could bum a hole off a ryerson carrier from someone, that'd be sweet

I have a car, but it's not doing so good, and it wouldn't hold that much stuff anyway. Anyone with a van or SUV or wagon, or access to one: the increase in gas costs makes it much more worthwhile when it's split with 4 people sitting very comfortably with all their stuff, rather than split with only 2 or 3 people in cramped car. Four is the golden cheapo number!

I am flying out to the MCBA WCC in BC this year because Auburn falls at a bad time for me... so I will have to skip out this year.

well all we have is a mazda 6, so I guess 1 maybe 2 people could come with us. Or Josh was thinking about renting a van or something if enough people were interested.

Friday, to arrive friday night, and if it ends early enough, drive back saturday night, or if it's a'stormin or ends too late, AND there's enough people sharing the cost of the hotel room, leave sunday. But it's all up in the air still, liquid plans and all

That is very sweet of you to offer. At this time I cannot let the chins be unattended. I am still medicating them all. I would feel awful if I came back and found more that have passed. I really want to go, but it's not going to happen this year.

around $90 CAD for the hotel room, so if you split it 4 ways, then $22.50, 3 ways is $30.

gas, usually 3 or 4 tank fulls gets us there and back, and it's about 33% cheaper in the states to fill up, even after the conversion rate. So, anywhere from $100 to $150, roughly. Divided by 4: $25 to $37. Divided by 3: $33 to $50.

total if 4 went together, per person: $45 to $60, roughly.

total if 3 went together, per person: $60 to $80, roughly.

Pretty big difference one person makes. If we could get 5 in a van, it'd be ridiculously cheap.

Ok so who all's planning on going? I took the weekend off but there has to be enough going for us to go.
So if it was us 2 and 3 other people it would be 5 so really cheap to go

Does someone have a van? Or should we maybe look into the cost of renting one?

i'm all ready to go, except the transportation. I think renting would put it just over the top for cost. although i dont have another solution to offer

4 perhaps in a regular car might work? Gas would be slightly cheaper, theoretically.

me vanessa sarah and josh? My car could make it, but it's a 2 door pontiac grand am, '92. It's a boat, but it aint gonna be the comfiest thing in the world. what do you guys drive, em?

I dont know anyone who owns a van or suv that'd let me borrow either. Just more cars.
